The Greater Greensburg Civil War Round Table The Greater Greensburg Civil War Round Table is an informal groups that meets the first Thursday of each month (except January and July) to discuss Civil War Topics, listen to speakers and present views on the defining conflicts of the United States. The discussions and presentations are open to the public and refreshments are served. Check the calendar of events listed on this site for the Greensburg and other Round Tables. Back issues of the Greensburg newsletter are available on site for one year. For more information click the email button on the left. Activities The 150th anniversary of the Civil War will begin with events planned for next year and cooperative efforts of the GGCWRT and Ligonier Valley Writers with Westmoreland County Historical Society. WCHS has written a grant to bring a traveling Civil War Exhibit to Hannah’s Town in Westmoreland County, PA in 2011. More on the planned event as it unfolds. Ligonier Valley Writers will hold its annual fundraiser on April 16 and 17: Murder by Trowel and Error. This is a fun interactive murder mystery dinner and members of the Greensburg Round Table also act in the play. See www.lvwonline.org for more information.
